Tide - Part Three

Cora tried committing suicide on several occasions but was always rescued by either the maids, servants or guards. Because of this the king would always send maids with her wherever she went, even when she took her bath. She would always weep day and night and wished her dear Badmos was never murdered or if she could reunite with him again.

Months after the death of Badmos, Cora became pregnant and to the admiration of the king, she gave birth to a son, now the only son of King Zoa. This made the king so happy that he threw a feast and danced endlessly in celebration of an heir to the throne.

But Cora was still not happy, so she named him "Jomash". Which means "its not mine". But the king named him Alpha.

One day, on a cool evening the high priest came to see the king, that he had an important message for him.

"My king! Odin shows you a lot of disdain. He despised you for what you have done." He cleared his throat and continued.

"This new born baby, Jomash is a curse my Lord. This child needs to be killed. He should never ascend the throne after your demise".

The king could not believe his ears "You must be bluffing" he responded. But the priest continued. "The child should be thrown alive into the Vehem sea. The same sea Badmos' body was disposed of". He said this starring eyeball to eyeball with the King with a high sense of seriousness to make his point clear.

Meanwhile, Cora was standing close to the palace door, eavesdropping..

"If this is not done my lord, it will lead to an Apocalypse on us all. For the means this child was delivered wasn't right" the priest said with a high sense of seriousness. Pointing to the child.

He continued "then lastly, my Lord! you shall step down as the king. Odin has appointed Bhort as the new king".

(Bhort was the only servant of Badmos, but escaped the wrath of the king after Badmos was murdered. Cora sent him away to a far country to reside with his sister; Bogen).

Always a stubborn and arrogant king, the enraged King Zoa angrily sent the high priest away and warned him never to come to the castle again.
